Reach Your Potential

The story is told of Emmanuel Ninger who was an exceptional artist of the late 1800's who was arrested for buying bond paper, cutting it, and painting an identical image of a fifty dollar bill.  Ninger was such a great artist, his currency fooled anyone that came into contact with it.  The only reason he got caught was because his next door neighbor complained of noise coming from his house, and upon the police's arrival they caught him in the act of hand painting the currency.  After his arrest the police auctioned all of his portraits, each piece sold for more than $5000.  It took Emmanuel the same amount of time to paint a $50 bill as it did a $5000 work of art!  He was brilliant and talented, yet he never reached his full potential.  He was a thief who stole from his self.  We steal from ourselves when we try to MAKE IT ON OUR ON, so purpose to allow God to use your life as his canvas!

"CHOKHMAH"

I was reading proverbs 9:10 and came across this interesting hebrew meaning for the word "WISDOM".  The text reads like this "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." The hebrew word for Wisdom in this text is "CHOKHMAH" which means skills!  God wants us to skillfully apply his Word to our daily lives.  This same word for wisdom is also found in (Exodus 28:3) which discuss the wisdom to make beautiful garments of priesthood.  Then all of a sudden this Revelatory nugget hit me across the face Like This "God's wisdom in our life brings beauty and purpose!"

No one in this vid was seriously hurt!

Know your Limits!

We cant do everything.  We can only do the things God designed for us to do through the gifts, skills, and intelligence that he has given us!  For example, flowers cant talk or walk, and deer's cant fly.  So in some since our design determines our results and capabilities.  One of the greatest mistakes we can make, is to try and re-design ourselves into to something that God did not intend for us to be.  When we recognize our personal limitations it turns our focus on what we were designed to do!
